The deck build is pretty standard. You will probably see plenty of these decks with similar builds, the only tweak being personal preferences, such as another copy of Pot of Desires, a different Side Deck set of cards, or different Extra Deck choices.
The Metalfoes archetype facilitate the summoning of the big boss monsters. You can either special summon out minions for tribute summons or manage to push out some Level 7 monsters. Some Kozmo spaceships fall under this Level range, whereas Astrograph Sorceror is Level 7 himself.
Speaking of which, Mr Zarc's key ace monster is an excellent searcher, deck thinning and recovers key pieces from the deck. By searching for copies of your destroyed monsters, well... another copy with the same name, you retain the combo pieces in hand which allows you to either have another go the next turn or try again during the same turn.
The main 'End Game' of the deck is to swarm, push for damage, flood the board and apply pressure to your opponent's, 'float' - using the Kozmo spaceships to keep putting monsters on the field, maintaining field presence. A common play is to use Revolving Stage to pass Kozmotown to your opponent while you get Dragonic Diagram. Follow-up by destroying a large-level Kozmo monster in hand, hence bringing out Kozmo Sliprider from your deck, destroying Kozmotown. This fetches you a search and since both Field Spells set by Revolving Stage are now no longer set (one activated and another destroyed) you can use other Field Spell cards.
Another thing that the Metalfoes archetype does is to summon out Link Spider, since they are Normal Monsters. This expands your 'Linked' monster zones and allow you to bring more Extra Deck monsters onto the field. Occasionally, you have the option of fusing for Metalfoes fusion monsters, which is similar to a toolbox you can tap into. Metalfoes Orichalc punishes your opponent for setting face-down monsters, while Metalfoes Mythriel bounces any card that you don't want to destroy. You can even bounce your own Dragonic Diagram to reuse its effect again. I personally like bouncing my Kaiju monster on the opponent's field back to my hand to reuse it.
Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow because it is a one-card Decode Talker. The 2300 soon-to-be iconic monster has a niche not Once-Per-Turn effect and can have incredible attack stats. Find out how here.

Crimson Blader deters Kozmo and True Draco decks. If it destroys your opponent's monsters and sends it to the grave, you can't even perform a Normal Summon of Level 5 or higher monsters.
Why Master Peace, the Dracoslaying King? Simple
- Immunity. Unaffected by card types of your choice. Easy to achieve and tweak, depending on your matchups.
- Big boss monsters with stats. Plus the Field Spell Dragonic Diagram's boost and you win Kozmo Dark Destroyer. All of a sudden, big machines ain't so scary after all.
- Quick-effect + destruction effect. Zoodiac Drident bite the dust and got reborn in this Dracoslaying King.
- Easily summoned out. Tributes summons Continous Spell/Traps, easily brought out since Metalfoes can set Metalfoes Combination from the deck directly.
- Tributing summoning Metalfoes Combination away also triggers the search effect, further advancing plays
- Too good. lol. Legit though, it has wonderful effects and is basically powercreeping plenty of decks. We all learned from the previous format why we hate a Quick-Destruction-Effect. At worst, it is a good one-trick-pony.
- Maxx "C" - This format is different from the previous and the main change is the siding of Maxx "C". Given how prominent Master Peace turbo or True Draco decks are, it wouldn't be wise to prioritise placing it in the Main Deck. Such decks don't special summon, making it an effective non-combo piece. Maxx "C" has always been used as a deterent towards special summon and field-building. But even in a special-summon deck like Metalfoes-Kozmo-MasterPeace, the deck can afford to stop at one special summon, and still have a decent field. Better yet, they switch to pushing Master Peace, the Dracoslaying King out or leave their Kozmo monsters to do the special summoning on your turn instead.
- Use Maxx "C" early while they have an empty field and you get punished with the PSY-Frame engine, giving them a free Level 8 Synchro monster on the field.
- Droll & Lock Bird aka the card that some might not recognise:
- Stops a wide range of field spells this metagame - Invoked's Magical Meltdown, Kozmo's Kozmotown and Dragonic Diagram. It acts as your 4th copy of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.
- Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring - a 'Hand Trap'. More suited for being a go-second type of card, hence it remains in the Side Deck.
- Cosmic Cyclone, Mystical Space Typhoon
- One card for another card trade is acceptable in this metagame, and given that this deck isn't too vulnerable to Dimensional Barrier and Solemn Strike, you don't have to rush backrow clearance so Twin Twisters isn't played, although the deck can afford the discard fodder.
- Anti-side cards to destroy backrows and floodgates.
- Kaiju
- The Level 7 Sticky-String Kaiju as it has always been in Metalfoes decks.
- Not Gamecial because Sea Turtle is Level 8 and can't be Pendulum Summoned out when needed. 2400ATK is manageable in a deck with so many boss monsters with high attacks.
Conclusion
In Japan, Demise True Dracos are seeing more success in their larger-scale tournaments with more participants. However, in a small player base like Singapore, most competitive players are bringing this deck to the local rankings. Try it out, if you haven't.
It is quite a flexible deck, able to adopt and shift the game plan to address plenty of game states. Either bring out Kozmo Dark Destroyer out and destroy some cards, control the field with Fullmetalfoes Alkahest, or lock your opponent down with Crimson Blader.
I will detail the method to bring out Master Peace, the Dracoslaying King with the least amount of resources in another article. So do stay tuned.
