The deck feels really like Junk Doppel but Dino-style.

This is my take on Yang Zing Dino, but it is definitely not an original idea. Plenty of players chose to embark on this route, focusing solely on Synchro Summoning. Completely discarding the True King component, Baby Dinos Petiteranodon and Babycerasaurus would be a burden to have, since apart from Soul-Devouring Oviraptor and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno you lack a reliable way to destroy them.

The strength of the deck lies in establishing board control via Denglong, First of the Yang Zing. Buying time til you get the right pieces to go for game, you can even Synchro Summon Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing during the opponent's turn.

Back to the Front not only revives targets for Synchro Summoning, but can also triggers Denglong, First of the Yang Zing's search during the opponent's turn. This would dodge a potential Effect Veiler from the opponent.

On hindsight, PSY-Framelord Omega would also be relevant and deserves a spot in the deck.
The Side Deck shown, not really a Side Deck, are alternatives I would propose to accelerate the Synchro Summons.
  • Photon Thrasher x3
  • Heroic Challenger - Assault Halberd x3
  • Reinforcement of the Army x1
It is a pain to draw into Jurrac Aeolo at times so these Level 4 monsters that can special summon themselves will come in handy in enabling Denglong, First of the Yang Zing.

Players piloting this build will lose out on the advantage and flooding capabilities that a True King engine would be able to provide. No more Xyz Summoning Rank 9 or depleting your opponent's hand cards bit by bit, one by one.

A pure Synchro Summon rush version is less explosive but I find it to be more consistent. Not needing to maximise on Set Rotation, Terraforming (which could become dead draws in later stages of the duel) allows you more room for more traps or other staples.

For me I went with the Solemn Trap series, but players can morph it to their personal preferences. I think that Compulsory Evacuation Device is also looking solid in the current metagame.

Conclusion
Definitely not the best option, but personally I like it, and thus I chose to feature it in this article. I have been a fan of Synchro Summons and frankly, Denglong, First of the Yang Zing is indeed a scary monster.

Enjoy it while you can though. Take it with a pinch of salt, but I think that Denglong, First of the Yang Zing will meet its doom at the hands of a Forbidden & Limited List soon.
