Custom Playmats

Came across a post advertising for custom playmats.
And I got tempted into doing one for myself.

Went ahead and google images and ideas for a designs. Got so many I can't make up my mind lol.

Obviously some were playmats printed by Konami.
Nevertheless, I still like the design.

Which got me thinking, material aside, why would I travel to another country or buy a playmat for a high price if I can find the high resolution image and print my own playmat. lol

Psyframes Deck Feature: Part 2

Carrying off where I left off last article, this article seeks to explore the possible engine of a PSYFrame deck, making it more offensive rather than defensive and active instead of passive.

Psyframes Deck Feature: Part 1

MOVE AWAY ANCIENT GEAR!

SHOO! Geargeria !

It is time for the new era of gears - The Gears of PSYFrames ;)

Today, I will be doing a deck feature of the PSYFrames Archetype, one of the few archetype that caught my attention.

Let's get started.

Burning Abyss joins OCG

Burning abyss has finally wormed itself into the OCG metagame with the introduction of Extra Pack 2015.

In Singapore, the hype was enough to drive the price of Dante from the starting $40 to beyond $55.

Dante, living to its name as a traveller is indeed a tough card to find. I have heard stories of people buying 10 boxes but are still unable to get even a single copy of Dante.

Meanwhile, I, as the sadistic player who likes to spread cancer as always, decided to trot on the path less walked upon again - "If you can't join them, beat them."

Ken Sir once agains begins on the anti-meta road. Today, just like what RespectYGO has just done. I shall discuss the top 10 possible ideas, side deck options against the current rising threat.

Kama ONE TWO THREE

Update

Dear all (if I do have readers on this blog),

Sorry for being MIA on this blog for the previous weeks/ months.

I myself have been busy with my personal life and commitment, such as enlisting into the nation's army for my national service.

Over the months of my hiatus, I have participated in some tournaments at my locals here and there.
But due to my absence from the competitive scene and the lack of opportunities to observe the meta, I failed to secure any significant achievements or results.

I have tried Tellarknight and Heroes during these months. But didn't like them much as it doesn't suit my style of playing. Tellarknight feels too boring for me. And Heroes seem like a 'do-or-die' deck where you either lockdown your opponent with Cyber Infinity + Dark Law and/or Number 16 Shock Master.

(There was once where I successfully pulled off the combo and then my opponent summoned Lava Golem onto my field the next turn. =_=||| I stopped playing Heroes after that day lol)

OMG - OH MY GOLEM
However, today, I have finally returned to the competitive scenes with a somewhat acceptable achievement. :D

Next up shall be a tourney report of my experience today.
Stay tune?

P.s.
Need to work on the blog page to make it more presentable though. =3=
Anyone who is good with blogs are free to comment to give me suggestions lol \0/

Dueling Cancer skips YOT

"Being unable to attend the first premier competition of the format and a yearly big event, Dueling Cancer would like to wish everyone the best for YOT. Hope that everyone will have fun dueling (and winning)."

The feeling when you get a dead draw.

Ranking Tournament.

Deck used: Yosenju.
Format: 6 Round Swiss

Monday 6 April 2015

Ranking Tournament on 4th April

First Ranking Tournament of the Season.
First Game of the new format.
Format: 5 round Swiss
Deck used: Yosenju

I know it is kinda boring that I don't change deck but I really love the "Hit, Run, Return, Grind, Burn for game and sometimes OTK'' playing style of Yosenju lol.

How to negate? The Debate

Note: This is not a post about rulings. This is merely a listing of the pros and cons of the various cards.

With the rise of the Atlanteans in the current format, stopping Atlantean Prince and Deep Sea Diva's effect will be crucial. However, with some many negation options for the side and main deck, which would emerge as the best answer to the rising threat?

Today, Dueling Cancer seeks to assess the benefits and disadvantages for the various cards.

Lovely Mats by Taiwan

Just recently caught up with the Anime. Not bad. I like this design.
Dark World looks good. Although these two cards seldom see competitive play.

Cute Design I would say.

Biased towards Blaster lol.
So nice mat designs are always not in my country. =3=
And when there is one, e.g. YOT big event Nekroz playmat, I can't go because I am unlucky. Nuuuu =3=

22/3 YOT Regionals: 50 People. 6 round swiss cut to Top 8

Personally I would have preferred a 5 round swiss cut to Top 16. #justsaying

Meta Breakdown (Credits to Dsummon of Yugioh Edition Singapore.)

Stellarknight 9
Shaddoll 6
HERO 6
Qliphort 5
Atlantean 4
Yosenju 3
Nekroz 3
Yang Zing 3
Cyber-Ryu 2
Others 9 (Chain Burn, DDD, Gk monarch, Infernity, Evilswarm, Artifact + Yosenju, Fire Fist + Flamevell, Synchron, Sylvan)

Was quite surprised to find Stellarknight being the most used deck. I anticipated decks such as Shaddoll, Qliphort, some Heroes, Atlantean and of course, Nekroz. Hence, since many of these decks (except Qliphort) does frequent special summons and have cards that effects activated in the grave, I considered Marco Cosmos to be quite a threat. Thus I choose to pilot the Yosenju archetype, which can run both Vanity's Emptiness and Marco Cosmos.
