Duel 1

A card was set in the Spell/Trap card zone. It was swiftly sent to the graveyard, revealing to be True Draco Apocalypse, when True Draco Heritage is activated, for an Additional Normal Summon.  Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King was swiftly brought to the field; its early appearance in the game shocking Player B
A second True Draco Heritage was used to draw two cards.
Magibullet Shooter Caspar joined Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King on the field and that was the end of the turn for Player A.

Player B lead with D/D/ Swirl Slime's effect from his hand, fusing D/D Savant Copernicus and itself for a D/D/D Flame King Genghis. D/D Swirl Slime banished itself to Special Summon D/D Savant Kepler, triggering D/D/D Flame King Genghis's effect to revive D/D Savant Copernicus. In the same Chain, D/D Savant Kepler fetched Dark Contract with the Gate from the deck too.

Upon its successful revival, D/D Savant Copernicus yarded D/D Necro Slime from the deck. Player B wanted to further his advantage with the activation of Dark Contract with the Gate, but it was unsuccessful due to a response from Player A.  Magibullet - Deadman's Burst negated the search, and since it was activated in the same Column as Magibullet Shooter CasparMagibullet - Death-perado could be added to the hand by Caspar's effect. Player B now has another obstacle to face!

Sending all three monsters on his field, Player B brought out Decode Talker. Decode Talker has a Link Marker pointing towards Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King, giving it sufficient ATK power to destroy Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King by battle. However, Magibullet - Death-perado destroyed Decode Talker before it could even have a chance to bait out Master Peace's effect.

(Player B then realised that D/D/D Flame King Genghis was mistakenly placed in the Extra Deck face-up alongside the Pendulum Monsters and went ahead to correct his mistake, placing it in the graveyard instead.)

A Fusion Summon was then performed with D/D Necro Slime in the graveyard bringing out D/D/D Dragonbane King Beowulf. However, the 3000ATK monster was brought down by its prey's monster effect, when it attacked Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King.

With nothing left to do, Player B ended his turn.

Player A summoned out two Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter during the following turn - one using True Draco Heritage, and the other using Caspar as a tribute. The ensuing onslaught left Player B with only 50LP.

Allure of Darkness was played! Could this be Player B's ticket out? Will he be able to turn the tables? D/D Savant Kepler was removed to resolve Allure of Darkness and One for One, discarding D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok to special summon another Kepler from the deck. Both spells allowed Player A to activate the two True Draco Traps from the deck - True Draco Apocalypse and True King Revival.

Dark Contract with the Gate was activated, but Player A disallowed it to resolve with Master Peace's effect. With a lone Kepler facing three fearsome True Draco monsters, Player B laughed hysterically at how he was cornered before surrendering.

Despite the risky decision of rushing out Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King, Player A was able to take the first game by constantly interrupting Player B's attempts to make plays. The Magibullet archetype helped with the resource-gathering.

Duel 2

Player B lead for the second game, with Dark Contract with the Gate searching for D/D Swirl Slime to start the ball rolling. D/D Swirl Slime fused with D/D Savant Thomas to bring out D/D/D Flame High King Genghis. One set card and that was the end of the turn.

Dark Contract with the Witch was used during the Standby Phase, presumably to prevent Player A from capitalising on it with his True Draco monster effects.

Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior was brought out using True Draco Apocalypse as a Tribute. this destroyed Player B's Fusion Monster without any interruption, and Player A went for a direct attack. A modest opening from Player A to start the second game.

Player B suffered 2000LP damage from his "Contract" cards during the next Standby Phase. The trigger of the Contract Spells, allowed Ignis Heat to activate a Spell but it was stopped by Player B's Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.

D/D Swirl Slime special summoned D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok from the hand which revived new D/D/D Flame High King Genghis. Back with vengeance, Player B went for an attack to take out Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior before Xyz Summoning into Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy during Main Phase 2.

Player A now has to face Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy which can threaten to negate one of his spells of Player B's choice.
Unfazed, Player A started his turn with a summon of Magibullet Shooter The Kid and Terraforming, with no indication of nervousness in his voice. When Player B opted not to negate, perhaps sensing a bait, he destroyed The Kid with Dark Contract with the Witch. However, Magibullet - Cross-Dominator was activated, ensuring that Terraforming would at least be able to resolve successfully.

Ultimately, the calmness turned out to be a facade. The bluff was revealed when Player A showed his hand, consisting of two Magibullet monsters and his searched Dragonic Diagram. Unable to make any plays, he surrendered. It was indeed a pity, as the next phase would invite another 2000LP damage for Player B. Given the ability to stall out the game with True Draco Apocalypse and True King Revival, things could have worked in Player A's favour.

Duel 3

Player A destroyed Disciples of the True Dracophoenix with Dragon Diagram to search True Draco Heritage. Setting a True King Revival, it was Tributed away for Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior. Drawing two cards off True Draco Heritage, the turn ended.

A couple of searching started the turn - D/D Savant Kepler was summoned and fetched Dark Contract with the Gate, which fetched D/D Necro Slime. With the activation of D/D Savant Kepler, Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior then added a second copy of True Draco Heritage to Player A's hand.

D/D Swirl Slime was activated again, alongside D/D Necro Slime for a Fusion Summon of D/D/D Flame High King Genghis. D/D Swirl Slime was banished to bring out tuner monster D/D Lamia, which has been absent until now. This triggered the revival of D/D Necro Slime.

Player B then proceeded to display his mastery of the D/D archetype. Synchro Summoning, he sent D/D Lamia and D/D/D Flame King Genghis for D/D/D Gust King Alexander, which was then sent for a Link Summon (with D/D Swirl Slime) for Akashic Magician. Placing it in front of Ignis Heat, Akashic Magician managed to bounce it off the field.

Things were far from over! D/D/D Flame High King Genghis was summoned from a Fusion Summon in the graveyard. Its effect was then triggered to revive a D/D monster from the graveyard when D/D Lamia special summoned itself from the graveyard.

D/D/D Gust King Alexander was brought back to partake in a Synchro Summon with D/D Lamia for Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon. From there on it was a full on onslaught for an OTK. Player B takes the third game as well.

Conclusion

In the era of Link Summoning, D/D/D shows mastery of yet another summoning method. Using Decode Talker to enable multiple Extra Deck monsters, Player B has gone to show that D/D/D is far from being obeselete, even in OCG August 2017.
