Description
The Zoodiac's engine aim is to provide support as tribute fodders and deck thinning. Deck thinning is always appreciated in plenty of decks. By thinning out your searchable, you allow yourself a higher mathematical probability to draw into your Hand Traps and floodgates, which are not usually easily brought to the hand.
For this reason, Zoodiac decks boast a high count of Hand Traps.
A Zoodiac engine standard core combo includes bring a Zoodiac monster into Zoodiac Hammerkong then into Zoodiac Broadbull. Zoodiac Broadbull paves the road for a search, allowing you with resources to follow up during the following turn. Zoodiac Whiptail is the common choice as it allows you to arm your Zoodiac Xyz monsters with stat boost and a removal ability.
Zoodiac Chakanine is then special summoned and used to revive Zoodiac Hammerkong. The revived Zoodiac Broadbull can be placed in the Main Monster Zone. Hence this play has no conflict under the New Master Rule.
Zoodiac Hammerkong then gains an Xyz Material after Zoodiac Chakanine is used to Xyz Summon Zoodiac Tigress. Being negated, Zoodiac Hammerkong does not need to detach during the End Phase, allowing it to provide Zoodiac Tigress with protection.
If Zoodiac Tigress is summoned using Zoodiac Thoroughblade, it can achieve up to 2800ATK points with the help of the search Zoodiac Whiptail.
When Zoodiac Hammerkong is destroyed, you can revive it back by repeating the process.
Tigress > Chakanine > Broadbull > Tigress. Zoodiac Tigress is very likely to survive as a searched Zoodiac Whiptail deters opposing attacks and Zoodiac Hammerkong provides invulnerability from destruction effects.
Missus Radiant allows for more offensive plays when the player is ready or after all Zoodiac cards are drawn/searched.
Bigger plays
Larger plays include the use of Dragonic Diagram and displays the synergy between the two archetype. With the use of Zoodiac Ramram, you get to revive cards such as Zoodiac Thoroughblade, potentially allowing you to uses its drop-and-draw effect up to twice per turn.Another instance Zoodiac Ramram enables is the use of Zoodiac Broadbull's effect twice in a single turn. This involves the Xyz Summon of Zoodiac Broadbull, which is then sent to graveyard via a detach, and then revived back again by Zoodiac Ramram before finally given an Xyz Material to use by Zoodiac Tigress.
Zoodiac Boarbow can also direct attack, which threatens your opponent when their lifepoints fall in the low end. A 2800ATK points Zoodiac Boarbow is easily achievable.
Conclusion
When you lack True Draco Spells/Traps to tribute, you can use the Zoodiac cards as tributes too. Fire Formation - Tenki increases the consistency of the deck, being at two currently. And as a Continuous Spell Card, you can tribute it for the sake of your Tribute Summon of True Draco monsters.
Zoodiac generates advantage on their own. This can compound into momentum or simply be used to stall until the right pieces are in the right places.
To counter Zoodiac True Draco decks, Maxx "C" is starting to find its place in the Main once again. Mind Control is also a useful tech card. You get to displace their Link Monsters, or grab a monster for Link Summoning yourself. Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King is usually armed with Monster and Trap immunity, leaving it vulnerable to spells.
